On October 3rd 2009 I set out for a change. With no direction in my life other than I knew I was very unhappy. Music my only love at the time was calling my name every second of the day. All I wanted to do is play. Nothing else mattered to me.
So I set out for Texas. I had a show the very first night I arrived here. I would love to tell you there was hundreds of a person but if there was more than twenty I would be lying to you. I remember setting up there and playing and these two girls walked in looking almost lost and unsure if the wanted to be there. Well my friend recognized them and said hello to them over the microphone and I thought by then I should go say hi too. So if I leave this part out she will kill me!!! So I hit on Amanda which is the maid of honor. LOL. In my defense I thought she was there for my friend. Anyways I will live with that for the rest of my life. Ha-ha. I did by the end of the night bring her out on the dance floor and sing to her while we danced.
So a couple of days later I get an inbox on my Facebook with her number. So I decided since I was new to the town I needed a guide service. Which at the time I didn't know that the love of my life could get lost in her own house!!! Ha-ha. Wow it's pretty funny!!! Whatever you do if you go to Austin with her even if it makes her mad....... Don't listen!!!! Ha-ha love you!!! So from this day on I really don't think there has been a day that we have not talked.
So she comes to are next show and guys I’ve played some places in my life but this top the cake. I played a double wide trailer!!! Ha-ha no lie it was a fun show but at the end of the night in the parking lot of Silver Wings I finally kissed her. We kissed for about five seconds and then she hit me laughed and got in the car. LOL. Well from that reaction I didn't know if she liked me or not. So we continued to talk everyday and also took to trip to Greene Texas together for the afternoon which is where I really learned her sense of directions where really bad. Don't ever listen to Mel Mel always listen to Tom Tom. We had a great time that day and I realized that I really was starting to like her. The following Saturday at my next show I kissed her for the second time and I knew then I wanted to be with her.
Well by this time I had fell hard for her but I didn't want to tell her because I felt it may have been to soon. I talk to Amanda about it and she kept saying you can't help the way you feel. Still in the back of my mind I thought it was to quick until Amanda pointed something out to me. I made Melissa a YouTube video for her birthday of the first song she ever asked me to learn. In this video it says when your baby really loves loves loves you I smile real big and she told me that I’ve to tell her!!! So I got up the courage again on at midnight of November the 1st on her 25th birthday to till her I love her for the very first time.
Ok In the meantime all this has been going on there was a three year old girl that stole my heart too!!! This little girl can make all your worries go away by just a small simple smile. This is a smile I can't live without now. I may never be her real father but I promise from this day forward she will always have a dad. I love
